“You cannot be lonely if you like the person you’re alone with” – Dr. Wayne Dyer.
After a night sprinkled with more rain & lots of wind gusts, I awoke to the beautiful blue skies I have become so spoiling accustomed to.
I met an amazing woman last night who is backpacking the trail south to north. She started at Gooseberry Falls & told me I have some beautiful scenery to look forward to. That’s right soul sister, tell me what I want to hear!
One of my favorite parts of this experience has been the fun & interesting people I have met along the way. It has been a highlight of my journey & I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. In fact, I sometimes have to remind myself that I do need to keep moving in order to get into my next camp in a timely manner. I look forward to reconnecting when I get home & getting to know these wonderful people whom I hope will soon become good friends.
I intended to make haste to my next camp site so I could set up & give my gear time to dry out, but as usual, the trail had something else in mind. The lovely views were so plentiful, I found myself stopping frequently to soak in the splendor & snap some photos. The fall colors are really starting to come into their own & I would not do them justice if I didn’t stop at least once in a while.
